Commercial Projects

Focusing on small business & multifamily affordable housing

Low Income Communities

OBJECTIVE 2

Increased Access to Capital for Clean Energy Projects in Underserved Communities.

Zero-down, low-interest, specialized financing enabling immediate positive cash flow from energy savings (loan payment < pre-upgrade energy bill) for communities hardest hit by climate extremes, i.e., low-income communities of color.

OBJECTIVE 3

Establish Workable and Relevant Clean Energy Apprenticeship Programs.

Facilitate certain clean energy projects in underserved communities that utilize apprentices recruited from those communities and pay prevailing wages to qualify for IRA credits to pay for 50% or more of the project.

OBJECTIVE 4

Improve Racial and Economic Equity in Historically Under-Resourced Communities-

  • Increased property value after upgrades = Increased Wealth

  • Increased recruitment of young people of color into energy trades = Increased living wages and career opportunities for young people of color.

  • Energy Savings = $ Savings
